Abstract:The man-bicycle-one-plane road is a new design form introduced from abroad. A series of safety problems of traffic disturbance and etc. may be caused in its application process. According to the concept of refined design of slow traffic, on the basis of analyzing the traffic characteristics of the cross section of man-bicycle-one-plane, taking the improvement of connectivity, comfort, safety and rationality of slow traffic as the principle, the thinking and method of refining improvement of man-bicycle-one-plane road section and intersection are proposed, and are explained in detail by Shanghai Lingang Man-bicycle-one-plane Reconstruction Project. This project after completed not only has a good effect on the improvement of slow traffic environment in this area, but also provides a referential experience for the design of the similar man-bicycle-one-plane reconstruction projects in the other area.
