Abstract:Urban road cross section is the direct space carrier of traffic flow, and its design level will have a direct influence on traffic operation efficiency. In view of this, the urban roads are classified firstly, and its influence on the cross-section optimization design is analyzed from the aspects of traffic mode, landscape greening and land use. Then, the calculation method of cross-section traffic capacity, the influencing factors and the optimization calculation method of the number of cross-section lanes of the urban roads are studied. Finally, the relationship between the cross-section width of the road and the height of the building, and integration design concept of slow traffic are discussed. On the basis of meeting the basic functions of urban road, the optimization design method of urban road cross section to realize the organic combination of the traffic volume and the spatial performance is put forward in order to provide some theoretical guidance for the cross-section design of the similar urban roads.
