Abstract:According to the different calculation assumptions and accuracy requirements, there are three calculation methods mainly of traditional method, deformation coordination method and finite element numerical analysis method for the calculation of foundation stress of stepped arch abutment. Based on an engineering example of a deck-type reinforced concrete arch bridge, the deformation coordination method is appropriately transformed to be suitable for this project. The distribution of foundation stress along the back and bottom of the foundation is studied through the finite element numerical analysis method. The results of the three calculation methods are compared and analyzed. The influence of foundation stiffness on foundation stress and the distribution law of foundation stress along the transverse direction of bridge are studied. The research conclusions and suggestions can provide references for the design of the similar projects.
