Abstract:In order to study the treatment effect of impact compaction on the collapsible loess subgrade of urban roads, aiming at the characteristics of collapsible loess in the road construction site of Gansu International Inland Port Center, the treatment scheme of collapsible loess subgrade by impact compaction is designed. The soil settlement, compaction degree, collapse coefficient, compressive modulus and other parameters are used to characterize the treatment effects. The effects of soil treatment of subgrade in the different depth ranges under the different impact compaction cycles are studied. The results show that the impact compaction can effectively improve the compaction degree, compression modulus and collapsibility of collapsible loess subgrade. The loess collapsibility at a depth of 80 cm is completely eliminated after 25 times of impact compaction. The impact compaction has a significant effect on improving the compactness of collapsible loess within 150 cm. The effective treatment depth of impact compaction on collapsible loess is 1.5 m.
