Abstract:The traditional I-steel beam is usually welded from the top plate, bottom plate and the middle of flat web. As the web bears a large vertical load, the bending deformation is easy to occur, resulting in the overall stiffness decline. And the structural load is greatly affected. In order to improve this situation, the bending characteristics of corrugated steel web I-beam under the vertical load are studied. The corresponding strain value and deflection value under the action of different load values are obtained through the finite element analysis, theoretical calculation and experimental research, and are compared with the ordinary I-beam. The results show that the corrugated steel web I-beam has a greater ultimate bending capacity, and can improve the problem of excessive deflection of traditional I-steel beams to a great extent.
