Abstract:In order to study the influence of two additives of anti-rutting agent and basalt fiber on the pavement performance of asphalt mixture, the pavement performance of composite modified asphalt mixture with anti-rutting agent and basalt fiber is analyzed through the laboratory tests. And the pavement performances of asphalt mixture with matrix asphalt, single anti-rutting agent and single basalt fiber are compared and analyzed. The test results show that the high temperature property of matrix asphalt can be significantly improved by singly adding anti-rutting agent, and he low temperature property of matrix asphalt can be significantly improved by singly adding basalt fiber. The high temperature stability, low temperature anti-cracking performance, water stability and anti-fatigue performance of composite modified asphalt mixture with anti-rutting agent and basalt fiber are more improved than the single adding of two additives. Therefore, the composite modification of anti-rutting agent and basalt fiber can obviously improve the pavement performance of asphalt mixture and can be applied in practical engineering.
