Abstract:There is the large amount of steel bar welding and concrete pouring for the wet joints of the traditional concrete bridge deck on site. With the development of rapid bridge construction technology, a new type of deck connection is proposed into the engineering field of vision, that is, the steel bar is not welded, annular steel bar staggered layout of the narrow joint connection. Based on the theoretical research at home and abroad, it is found that this new type of joint consists of two failure modes, that is, rebar yield and core concrete breakage. On the foundation of theoretical work, the test results of the joint under the axial tensile action are given. The calculation result based on the theoretical formula is compared and demonstrated with the experimental results. The influences of the different structural parameters on the joint strength are analyzed. At the same time, the accuracy of the theoretical formula for the prediction of the failure mode of joint is verified.
