Abstract:Based on the engineering background of the approach bridge of a cross-river bridge in Shanghai, the mechanical properties of narrow wet joint structure and conventional wet joint structure are compared and analyzed through the solid model calculations. The results show that under the condition of ensuring the compactness of the concrete, the stable combination of the new and the old concretes, and the no slip between the steel bar and the concrete, the U-shaped bar hinged structure of the narrow wet joint is more reliable than the general conventional wet joint structure, and the bearing capacity of bridge deck can be ensured.
