Abstract:In the urban traffic system, grade intersections are the important hubs of the road network, but are also the congestion and accident-prone points. T-shaped intersections are a common type of urban road intersections. Therefore, the analysis and research on the design elements of T-shaped intersections are of great significance to alleviating urban road congestion, reducing traffic accidents and improving city image. The design elements of urban road T-shaped intersections in engineering practice are analyzed and the design methods of urban road T-shaped intersections are summarized from the aspects of channelization design, traffic organization and vertical design. Combined with the specific engineering examples for the practice, a good effect is obtained.
