Brief Description on Common Problems, Measures and Suggestions for Suburb Section along Suzhou River

Abstract:

Suzhou River is the representative space and symbolic carrier of "outstanding global city" to be built in Shanghai, and possesses the abundant cultural resources and waterfront landscape. According to Suzhou River Coastal Area Construction Planning (2018-2035), the suburb section outside the Outer Ring is defined as the ecological corridor to implement the ecological conservation and recreational functions. Combined with the experience in Suzhou River (Qingpu District) Embankment Special Maintenance Project in recent years, the main problems existing in the suburb sections along Suzhou River are analyzed, and the countermeasures and suggestions are proposed.
