Abstract:With the development of the city and the growth of population, the output of slag produced by incineration of domestic waste is also increasing gradually. The application of slag resources on the road materials could make full use of resources and energy and reduce the cost of road construction, at the same time, to solve the shortage of road building materials. In this study, the high temperature rutting resistance, water stability and shear resistance of asphalt mixture, common emulsified asphalt mixture (EAM), emulsified asphalt stabilized bottom ash mixture (BAEAM) and emulsified asphalt stabilized bottom ash + concrete mixture (C+BAEAM) were evaluated through rutting test, water immersion splitting test, uniaxial penetration test and unconfined compressive strength test. The experimental results show that compared with common EAM, BAEAM has inferior high temperature rutting resistance while it presented better water stability and shear resistance. Replacing part of mineral filler in BAEAM with cement could not only make up for its rutting resistance, but also significantly improve its water stability and shear resistance.
