Abstract:By studying and summarizing the operating characteristics of staggered intersections, four types of optimization and improvement strategies for the staggered intersections are proposed to reduce the negative impact of staggered intersections on the traffic efficiency of the road network. The typical staggered intersections are along Hongqi Avenue in the Hetao Old Town in Ganzhou City, and at the same time, the coordinated control of left-turn right-set channelization and two-way green wave is applied. And the simulation and evaluation of the scheme are carried out through VISSIM simulation software. The comprehensive improvement measures can effectively alleviate the delays of traffic flow at the intersections.
