Abstract:Based on a design case of concrete-filled steel tubular columns in a super-large underground space by the semi-top-down construction method in Nanjing, the beam-column joints improved suitably for the project are proposed. The force transmission mechanism and design process of ring beam - ring corbel beam joints are summarized. The supplementary finite element analysis of the most adverse bending joint is carried out in order to provide a beneficial reference for the design of the similar projects. The results show that this kind of joint can meet the requirements of bearing capacity, but the local reinforcement should be carried out when reinforcing bars.
