Abstract:In order to meet the traffic demands into and out of Taihu New Town in Wuxi, the overall design scheme of Gaolang Expressway is Wuxi is studied. The construction background, construction scale, present situation along line and planning land of Wuxi Gaolang Expressway Project are introduced. The functional orientation, service object and construction standard of the project are made clearly. On the basis of the flow investigation and analysis of the current road network in Wuxi, and combined with the planning effects, the four-stage method is used to predict the traffic flow. Combined with the traffic functions and the land development conditions, the overall scheme and the node implementation scheme along the along of the project are studied and analyzed. Finally, the conclusion shows that the project scale is large, the grade is high and the social attention is high because of Gaolang Road located in the core area of Taihu New Town. Therefore, the expressway laying type, node treatment scheme, traffic organization of ground auxiliary road and the other problems must be planned as a whole in order to realize the maximum economic benefit and social benefit.
