Abstract:SSelf leveling asphalt mixture is a reliable material for repairing asphalt pavement pits. In this paper, penetration test, rutting test, low temperature bending test and freeze-thaw splitting test are used to evaluate the static stability, high temperature stability, low temperature cracking resistance and water stability of different self leveling asphalt mixtures. The results show that self leveling asphalt mixture is only suitable for small area pit repair due to its high content of mineral powder, large amount of asphalt and poor high temperature performance. The SBS network structure is formed in the modified asphalt with high SBS content, which improves the stiffness and elasticity of asphalt, so it has good low temperature resistance and water stability. Due to the process characteristics of self leveling asphalt mixture and high mixing temperature, the aging resistance of asphalt should be investigated.
