Abstract:Entrance and exit of urban expressways are mostly in the form of "first-in, last-out". According to the specification, the distance of entrance and exit is the largest. But this distance often does not meet the requirements of the specification in the design process. The article analyzes the distance of entrance and exit, which is composed of speed-change lanes, weaving section and safety distance. The length of acceleration lane, deceleration lane, transition section, weaving and safety distance are calculated separately. In this way, the minimum distance of entrance and exit can be obtained and the recommended values of minimum distance are given. Under the condition of less than the minimum distance, the corresponding treatment measures are put forward.
