Abstract:Walking traffic is one of the main travel modes of urban residents in China. The service level of walking traffic system has become an important indicator of urban residents' comfort. To improve the quality of life of residents, it is necessary to improve the service level of walking traffic system. In this study, according to the behavior and characteristics of pedestrians crossing the street, and the impact of motor vehicles on pedestrian walking, the business district of Huanan Square in Dalian is studied. Firstly, the existing problems in the region are analyzed, focusing on the optimization of pedestrian crossing inconvenience and motor vehicle occupation of sidewalks.
