Abstract:Based on the results of global scheme solicitation, the new wuchazi bridge in Chengdu has a novel shape. On the one hand, structure design should revivify the scheme faithfully, but on the other hand, the connection relationship of steel members is complex and irregular. Two local finite element models are established by ANSYS. The stress distribution of beam-pier joint of the main bridge is compared and analyzed. The results show that adding secondary webs can solve the problem of uniform and reliable force transfer between the upper and lower structures of the bridge.
