Abstract:The Realizable k-? model combined with the VOF multi-phase model was applied to the numerical simulation for three groups of baffle-drop shaft to study the effect of baffle spacing on hydraulic parameter. The results indicated that baffle spacing is the key factor in the baffle-drop shaft. With the increase of the folded plate spacing, the flow pattern on the folded plate will gradually change from reciprocating flow to S-type wall flow, and the impact and erosion on the folded plate or wall will also increase. Whether the flow pattern on the folded plate is reciprocating flow or S-type flow, the energy dissipation is above 90%, and the baffle spacing has little effect on the energy dissipation in the shaft.
