Abstract:Domestic highway and urban road network have been well established. New roadway construction is towards the green and sustainability on the basis of ensured quality. The study presented in this paper is based on a road reconstruction project in Chongqing city along the river. Investigation of diseases on the old roadway has been conducted. Local engineering construction experience and foreign long-life pavement design theories were considered, as well as relevant design codes for highways and urban roads. Pavement structure batch analysis technology and finite element numerical simulation method have been used in this study. A long-life asphalt pavement structure was proposed for urban roads in high temperature rainy areas. The research results have certain reference value for urban road construction in the same climate area.
