Abstract:The paper presents the actual mechanical behaviors and structural performances of prestressed concrete continuous small box girder Bridge under heavy traffic loads on the basis of the field static load tests, and to examine whether the strength and stiffness meet the requirement of design and system operation or not. The results show that the experiential displacements and stresses of the bridge whose span is 3×30m under the planned load test conditions is higher than of the analytical ones. It means that the strength and stiffness as well as carrying capacity of the bridge don’t meet the requirement of design and system operation. On the other hand, it is found that the measured impact coefficient of the bridge is observed not significant.
