Abstract:As one of the most critical functions of traffic information infrastructure, traffic information perception can provide important data and decision support for traffic application scenarios such as traffic situation prediction, traffic signal control, etc., and it is the cornerstone of implementing the strategy of building a leading transportation nation. At present, the common means of traffic information perception mainly include geomagnetic coil, radar, camera, infrared and so on. However, these single traffic information perception devices generally have the problems of incomplete information perception and low accuracy. This paper studies the traffic information perception technology based on the fusion of radar and camera, and organically integrates the detection data of millimeter wave radar and visual sensor, so as to realize large-scale, accurate and comprehensive traffic information perception, in order to lay the foundation for the development of traffic intelligence and informatization.
