Abstract:In order to study the wind resistant performance of long-span cable-stayed bridges with unequal pylons, taking Shunde cable-stayed bridge of unequal pylons as engineering background, it’s vortex-induced vibration and flutter performance was studied through the sectional model test, smaller fairing is beneficial to suppress and reduce vortex-induced vibration amplitude of streamlined box girder, and does not affect flutter stability. And the static wind stability performance of the bridge is analyzed, the deformation of the bridge varies with the wind speed present significant nonlinearity, and the wind attack angle of oncoming flow has little influence on the static wind response. The research can provide scientific basis and reference for the wind resistant research of long-span cable-stayed bridges with unequal pylons.
