The construction of sponge cities, urban flood control and river basin flood control have become important research directions. As a relatively mature hydrological simulation software, the SWMM model has the advantages of being free and open source and has a wide range of application scenarios. This paper introduces SWMM and its derived models. The latest applications and research directions of SWMM models from both domestic and foreign aspects; Summarizes the future development trends of SWMM models.
