With the continuous improvement of the level of urbanization, the external environment faced by the excavation of deep foundation pits in cities is becoming more and more complex, and higher requirements are also put forward for the design of foundation pit engineering. Therefore, the selection of deep foundation pit supports must be based on the project practice and local conditions. Based on the example of a large-scale deep foundation pit project in the complex environment of Guangzhou karst area, this paper discusses the selection principles and design points of the foundation pit enclosure structure in the complex environment; comprehensive analysis is carried out by using a variety of calculation software, combined with on-site foundation pit monitoring results. The rationality of the selection of enclosure structure is further tested, which provides a certain reference for other deep foundation pit projects under similar conditions.
