Abstract:Trough the experiment of permeation and water absorption of the foamed light soil respectively with the wet weight 5.5 kN/m3 and 6 kN/m3, the porosity status, permeability coefficient and water absorption performance of the foamed lightweight soil are studied. The experimental results show that the bubble mixed light soil is a high-porosity material. Its pore ratio is more than 75%. The permeability coefficient is about 10-5~10-6 order of magnitude, which is between the permeability coefficients of silty clay and clay. After water immersion, the bulk density of foamed light soil increases by a maximum of about 25%, and the bulk density after water loss still increases by about 9.5%. The design bulk density should be corrected between 1.0~1.25 in the engineering design according to the construction environment of different replaced subgrades.
