Abstract:With the continuous growth of urban population, the traffic problems have become increasingly prominent. In urban roads, the intersections are very important to the urban traffic system as a key node for the convergence, turning and separation of traffic and pedestrian flows. The forms and characteristics of urban road intersections are analyzed, and the design process and evaluation methods of urban road intersections are studied. Combined with an intersection optimization project, the investigation of traffic situation and the prediction of traffic flow are carried out. The relevant optimization scheme of intersection is proposed. In addition, the above-mentioned optimization schemes are compared and selected through the evaluation method of road intersection, which provides a reference for the practical projects.
