Abstract:During the development of cities, underground tunnel and subway grow rapidly and have an important complex inter-action. In this paper, the writer gives an example, that is Ring Road tunnel and metro line 3, which were constructed considering the mutual contributions. In the present analysis, the design ideas and methods,as well as work steps are introduced in detail. Metro line 3 goes under Ring Road tunnel from buried rectangular part to open part with an angle. By using more but short piles, the concentricity response is going to be weaken. The retaining piles of under lying Metro line 3 were tight into the baseboard of upper tunnel, which can help to diminish the movement; on the other hand, retaining walls can control the vertical displacement. From the analysis and actual works, one can see that the method is safe, simple and easily construed, so it can be referred in future.
