Abstract:In order to study the effect of water-based epoxy resin dosage on the pavement performance of cold-mixed SMA-5 asphalt mixture, the influence laws of water-based epoxy resin dosage on the construction peaceability, open traffic time, mixture strength, high-temperature stability and water stability of cold-mixed SMA-5 asphalt mixture are discussed respectively. The results show that when the water consumption is 6% and the water-based epoxy resin dosage is 15%, the consistence of the mixture increases in the mixing process. Ii is suggested that its dosage should not exceed 15%. Compared with the unmixed water-based epoxy resin, when the water-based epoxy resin dosage is 13%, the bonding strengths of 30 min and 60min are 2.1 N·m and 2.8 N·m respectively. The 1d unconfined compressive strength of the mixture is increased by 194%, the 3D unconfined compressive strength is increased by 151%, the freeze-thaw splitting strength is 97%, the immersion Marshall strength ratio is 99%, and the dynamic stability exceeds 4 000 times/mm, which can all meet the requirements of the specification.
