Study on Improvement of Traffic into Shanghai Wildlife Park

上海野生动物园是由上海市人民政府和中国国家林业局合作建设的中国首座国家级野生动物园、国家5A级旅游景区，其主出入口及几个主要停车场均位于南六公路东侧。由于来园的车辆主要流向为北向南方向，需通过南六公路-人民西路交叉口掉头入园，导致南六公路拥堵严重。通过野生动物园入园交通现状问题分析，提出了改善入园交通的总体策略，并介绍了建设专用定向匝道，实施停车场改造等具体的工程实施方案。

Abstract:

Shanghai Wildlife Park is the first national wildlife park and national 5A tourist attraction in China jointly built by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the China State Forestry Administration. Its main entrance and exit and several main parking lots are located on the east side of Nanliu Highway. As the main flow direction of vehicles to the park is from north to south, these vehicles need to turn around and enter the park through the intersection of Nanliu Highway and West Renmin Road, resulting in the serious congestion on Nanliu Highway. By analyzing the current situation of the traffic into the wildlife park, the overall strategy to improve the traffic into the park is proposed and the construction of the dedicated orienteering ramps is introduced. The engineering scheme of implement the reconstruction of parking lots is described in detail.
