Liuzhou Shuangyong Bridge is the first long-span ground-anchored single main cable suspension bridge in China. The A-shaped steel pylon formed by a unique non-similar isosceles triangular section is innovatively used for this bridge. The structure and mechanical performances of this pylon are systematically studied. The study results show that the structural form of the bridge pylon has the good landscape effect and mechanical performance. The steel-concrete connection structure in the form of bearing plates and tie rods at the bottom of the pylon has the advantages of clear force and convenient construction. The top of the pylon needs to focus on solving the structural problem of effectively transmitting the huge vertical force of the cable saddle to the two pylons, which is different from the double-cable suspension bridge.
