Abstract:A nonlinear prediction equation of performance disintegration of SBS modified asphalt in the process of aging is established. The reliability of the prediction equation is validated by thin-film oven test. Based on the prediction equation, the change rate of performance indexes of SBS modified asphalt in the process of aging is analyzed. The research results show that the non-linear equation x(t)=(Lx0)/[1+(L-1)e-rt ] can be used to predict the change law of the penetration, softening point and ductility in the aging process of SBS modified asphalt. The change rate of penetration, softening point and ductility of SBS modified asphalt declines gradually with the lengthening of aging time, in which the change rate of ductility index decreases the most in the early aging period. The relationship equation between the macro performance index and the infrared spectrum a1 700/a1 600 can be established to predict and evaluate the aging degree of SBS modified asphalt.
