Abstract:The prefabricated pipe piles have the advantages of high bearing capacity, reliable quality, environmental protection and high economy, and are widely used in the constructional engineering. Relatively speaking, the application of pipe piles in the field of highway bridges is less, and it is still in the stage of popularization and application. The seismic performance of large-diameter pipe piles with unfavorable geological conditions is often a major difficulty in design. Taking an expressway project as an example, the dynamic response of prefabricated pipe piles with unfavorable geological conditions is studied. The structural safety reserve is improved by taking the measures of seismic isolation design and selecting the appropriate pipe pile types. The results provide the reference for similar engineering applications.
