Abstract:The treatment rate of rural sewage in Shanghai has reached more than 90%, which has played an important role in improving the quality of water environment and human settlements. However, limited by the characteristics of water quality and quantity of rural sewage, construction standards, process selection, operation and maintenance management and other factors, some facilities are in unstable operation and difficult to meet the effluent quality standards. Extensive research on rural sewage treatment was carried out among management departments, construction units, operational enterprises and equipment manufacturers in Shanghai suburbs. Through further disscussion with experts in related design units, research institutes and universitie, the problems of planning and design, construction and acceptance, operation and management of rural sewage treatment were sorted out from the technical level, and the countermeasures were put forward in the paper. Furthermore, the technical key points were formed to improve the quality and efficiency of Shanghai rural sewage treatment.
