Abstract:In order to solve the problem of insufficient research and development of speed coordination evaluation software for urban expressway, the operation simplicity and accuracy of speed coordination evaluation for urban expressway should be improved. Taking the calculation of expressway operating speed proposed in Shanghai local standard Urban Road Safety Evaluation Standard and the coordination evaluation model as the programming basis, and based on Civil 3 d platform, the urban expressway operating speed evaluation plug-in is developed by four sub-modules composed of road design data reading and writing, running speed calculation, speed coordination evaluation, and result display and output. This plug-in is successfully used to test the safety of the route design scheme of a new project of an urban seaside avenue. Based on this plug-in, the auxiliary decision-making function of Civil 3D for the design of route and traffic facilities can be expanded from the aspect of traffic safety so as to improve the traffic safety of urban expressway.
