Abstract:The rapid transportation of urban roads has become an effective mean to improve the travel efficiency of residents, while the development of old towns already mature greatly increases the difficulty in the design of rapid transportation of roads. Therefore, it is particularly important to comprehensively analyze the key and difficult points of the design and study the economic rationality of the scheme. Based on the Yangzhou Wanfu Expressway East Extension Project, through the comprehensive analysis on the intersection flow, residential lighting and noise effects, and intersection channelization length, and combined with the planning of expressway network in Yangzhou, the functional positioning, vehicle lane scale and construction model selection for the interchange at the node of Wanfu Road - Jinwang Road are determined, and the advantages and disadvantages of using the design speeds for the right turn ramps are analyzed.
