Abstract:In order to solve problems of restricted working width, safety protection and landscape design of partial expressway barriers, the design schemes of a A-level and a SB-level beam column steel barriers are proposed according to the study experience, theoretical analysis data and analogue simulation results. On the basis of the stipulations in Safety Performance Evaluation Standard of Highway Barriers, the full-scale vehicle impact tests are used to evaluate the safety performances of the two barriers. The test results show that the intercepting performance, guiding performance and buffering performance of the two designed barriers can satisfy the requirements. The two barriers can successfully prevent the accident vehicles. The good effect has been obtained in the application.
