Abstract:Underground ring roads are mostly connected to the underground space of the urban central business district to form a large-scale underground road network and integrate the regional underground parking resources, which has become a more effective way to improve the traffic congestion, lack of space and the others. However, there are many interfaces in the underground ring roads, and the traffic flows among the different systems are frequently intertwined. At the same time, the tidal effect of traffic travel is obvious, and the traffic flow in and out of the ring road is concentrated in the morning and evening peaks, which is easy to produce the traffic bottlenecks. The basic needs to prevent and relieve the traffic congestion in the underground ring roads are studied and analyzed. The typical traffic control countermeasures are proposed from the perspective of suggestion and mandatory intervention. On this basis, several typical traffic control demand scenarios of underground ring roads are summarized. Taking the underground ring road at Hengli Island in Nansha as an example, several scenarios are selected such as the exit control of parking lot under emergencies, the integrated linkage control of underground ring road and parking lot passageway, the real-time supervision of key road sections, and the entrance control of underground ring road. The countermeasures and suggestions for the refined traffic control are analyzed.
