Abstract:With the renewal and development of city, the improvement of the road network is very important for improving the traffic problems. The road construction across the railway and river is essential, which can effectively strengthen the communication and contact between the two sides. The design of road scheme crossing the railway and river will face a series of problems such as pedestrian and non-motor vehicle traffic, traffic conversion mode on both sides, bridge layout, and clearance involved to railway. Taking the project of West Zhangheng Road crossing Jiaozhou-Liuzhou Railway in Nanyang City as an example, the functional positioning, traffic status, land use status, engineering cost and other factors are comprehensively analyzed. Three overall design schemes are compared and demonstrated in detail. Finally, the recommended scheme of safety, environmental protection, economy and aesthetics is determined, which provides a reference for the comparison and selection of the overall design schemes of similar urban trunk roads in the future.
