Abstract:In view of the poor drainage performance of semi-rigid base course, if the water infiltrated into the asphalt layer cannot be quickly drained from the base course, it will stay on the base course surface, soften the base course surface, and form the mud under the action of vehicle load, which will make the interface condition between the asphalt layer and the base course change from the continuous state to sliding state or semi continuous and semi sliding state. The elastic layered system theory is used to calculate and analyze the mechanical response and deflection change of pavement structure when the interlayer contact condition changes. The results show that when the interface condition changes from the continuous state to the sliding state, the stress at the bottom of the surface layer at the load center gradually changes from the compressive stress to the tensile stress, which is very easy to cause the cracking and destruction of the pavement structure.
