Abstract:In the municipal drainage engineering, the pipe-jacking method has the advantages of less environmental impact, less relocation of underground pipe network and less land acquisition and demolition compared with the traditional slotting method. Taking the large diameter (DN≥2 000) drainage pipe-jacking project in mountainous city as an example, the estimation of pipe jacking stress and the calculation of allowable pipe jacking force are introduced. The cause of settlement is analyzed. The method of settlement numerical estimation is introduced. The main factors affecting the jacking force are analyzed. And the relevant control measures are proposed. All provide some reference for the design and construction of pipe jacking engineering in Chongqing and other similar mountainous cities.
