Abstract:Most of the early railway sound barriers in China were vertical. When there are the dense high-rise buildings along the line, the traditional vertical sound barrier cannot achieve the required noise reduction effect. At present, the number of intercity railways under construction in China is increasing. In order to meet the requirements of environmental protection, there is a growing trend to install completely enclosed sound barriers. At the place where the Tianjin - Xingjiang Railway passes through the urban area, there are many densely populated residential areas on both sides. It is necessary to install the completely enclosed sound barriers to effectively reduce the noise. The steel structure skeleton is the main load-bearing component of the completely enclosed sound barrier. The processing and installation qualities will affect the stability of the sound barrier. According to the example of Guyong Bridge Project in Tianjin - Xingjiang Railway, the construction technology of steel structure of the railway completely enclosed sound barrier is studied.
