Abstract:Taking the circular landscape footbridge in Shanghai Lingang Top New Scientist Park as an example, the pedestrian comfort level evaluation of the footbridge and the design process of tuned mass damper (TMD) are analyzed in detail. Under the constraints of external landscape conditions such as span, beam height and bridge deck attachment, and aiming at the owners' requirements of the main beam height and deck paving thickness of the footbridge, the rational layout of TMD and the optimization of TMD number are studied. The experience of pedestrian vibration calculation and TMD design is summarized.
