Abstract:Taking a test section of high-filled subgrade in a highway project, the experimental study method is used to carry out a series of tests on the mineral composition, engineering properties, compression performance and shearing strength of soft rock filler. The study shows that the soft rock fillers are mainly composed of clay minerals. The softening coefficient of soft rock under the saturated conditions is higher than that under dry-wet cycles. The compression coefficient of the soft rock at a degree of compaction of 0.96 is basically not changed with the effect of the dry-wet cycle. The shearing strength of the soft rock decreases more significantly under the effect of the first 6 dry-wet cycles, and basically stabilizes after 6 cycles. The research achievements can be referred for the similar projects.
