Abstract:Compared with the general subgrade, the high-filled subgrade has the characteristics of large filling height, high durability, high stability, low construction cost, long service life and so on. In order to ensure the stability and sustainable development of road, the high-filled embankment is often adopted when the mountain highway passes through the low-lying areas in China. However, there will be serious settlement of the high-filled embankment, which leads to the subgrade instability, especially in loess area. Through the practical engineering cases, the in-situ monitoring is carried out for the settlement of high-filled embankment in loess area, and the influencing factors and control technology of its settlement are summarized and analyzed, which provide the better guidance for the construction of high-filled embankment in loess area.
