Abstract:The stress, deflection, vertical frequency and lateral frequency of the single-pier continuous rigid-frame pedestrian overhead trestle under the different pier heights and different pier diameter are compared and analyzed. The analysis results show that the stress, deflection and lateral frequency of the structure are easy to meet the limiting values of standard. The lateral frequency and lateral comfort level limits not specified in the relevant domestic specifications are the control factors in the design of this kind of bridge. Under the unfavorable condition of heavy pedestrian traffic load on the bridge deck, in order to ensure the gentle structure, a smaller pier diameter is adopted, and the lateral tuning mass damper (TMD) is set. In the case that the lateral frequency of the bridge cannot avoid the pedestrian transverse bridge walking frequency, the lateral comfort requirements of the structure can be guaranteed.
