Abstract:Generally, the underground diaphragm wall has the function of retaining and seepage control, but its structures have the disadvantages such as construction of cold joints. Therefore, there is an urgent need to explore the new diaphragm wall structures to complement the structural deficiencies of diaphragm walls. Based on the relevant practice, three types of underground diaphragm walls, such as impermeable membrane diaphragm wall, steel box diaphragm wall and steel cage attached membrane diaphragm walls are introduced, and compared with the general diaphragm walls in terms of impermeability, structural integrity, comprehensive force capacity, construction difficulty and construction cost. The relevant process can provide a reference for the construction of similar projects.
