Abstract:With the development of the economy and society, the requirements for beautiful appearance and land conservation in urban bridge construction are constantly increasing. The application of double-support single-column vase pier in elevated bridges is increasing, and at the same time, the previous designs of vase piers have shown some cracking at the top of the piers. Combined with an elevated bridge project in Chengdu, the analysis result of a solid finite element model is compared and analyzed with the results of common simple calculation models to verify the rationality of each common simple calculation model, which provides the necessary experience and reference for the design of similar bridge piers in the future.
