Abstract:With the development of economy and society, there are more and more expressway reconstruction projects for urban roads. Due to the improvement in the design speed and standards of new roads, the anti-collision guardrail level of existing old bridges can no longer meet the requirements of new urban expressway standards. Therefore, it is necessary to upgrade and reconstruct the anti-collision guardrail of existing old bridges. Taking Suqian Yingbin Avenue Phase II Expressway Reconstruction Project as an example, the upgrading reconstruction design scheme of the old bridge guardrail for Wenhua Bridge on the canal is introduced. And the yield line analysis, strength design theory and inelastic analysis method are used to carry out the calculation and analysis. In the practical engineering application, the good effects are obtained in order to provide the reference for the similar upgrading reconstruction projects of old bridge guardrail.
