Abstract:Four types of asphalt mixture are selected for the different construction conditions of pavement wearing layer. The engineering characteristics of compressive strength, permanent deformation resistance, anti-water damage and fatigue failure resistance of these four mixtures are compared and analyzed through the laboratory tests. According to the splitting strength, tensile strength and dynamic stability indicators of mixture specimens under the different forming and curing temperatures, the effects of the different construction temperature conditions on the pavement performances of epoxy emulsified asphalt mixture are simulated. The experimental results indicate that the epoxy emulsified asphalt mixture has better engineering performance and low-temperature construction characteristics than the ordinary (modified) asphalt mixture.
